Hi,

I am somewhat confused by what is avaialable to me as a paid subscriber to WindowsIT Pro magazine. I cannot access articles marked as subscriber only, I cannot take a look at past issues, in essence I can do as much as non-subscriber. Why is that?

Thanks,

Zee

I have the exact same problem and so did a friend of mine. He cancelled his subscription cause it wasn't giving him anything extra. I'm having problems getting help as well.

Ditto. I emailed customer service and haven't heard back from them.

as a paid subscriber we should have access. What more do they want?

Thanks for the warning - I shan't bother with a subscription then!

You idiots. Access Denied is the name of the column.

There is no column text, only sidebars where each issue is seperatly addressed, which, as a subscriber, you have full access to.

As per the text of the main column: "Every month, Randy Franklin Smith answers your questions about security. Click the links above to see individual Q&As from this month's column. Send your questions to Randy at"

I am having the same problem. Access to articles is only allowed when you associate your Penton customer to your WindowsITpro account. Under "manage my account" from my WindowsITpro logon I found the following under FAQ's:

Can't access Subscriber Only articles? Take this opportunity to associate your Subscription Customer Number with your Web account.

So I followed the FAQ and the system tells me, " The information you provided does not match a subscription customer number."

What the heck, I paid $270.00 for the VIP package. Man this stinks. My next course is calling the customer service number. It seems there system needs better QA. Perhaps they will write or rate it in one of their perodicals. Yeah Right! :-) In corporations it's the dollar first then the the cusotmers.
