If you’re developing applications for SQL Server, chances are you're using Visual Studio 2005 Express. However, now might be the time to change. Microsoft recently made available the new Visual Studio 2008 Express family of products. Although there have been beta versions of these products in the past, the new line contains the final release versions. Like the Visual Studio 2005 Express products, all the Visual Studio 2008 products are free.

The Visual Studio 2008 Express family consists of

* Visual Basic 2008 Express

* Visual C# 2008 Express

* Visual C++ 2008 Express

* Visual Web Developer 2008 Express
