Q. Can I use NIC Teaming with my failover cluster?

Windows IT Pro
InstantDoc ID #104629

A. Windows Server 2008 and above fully support NIC teaming for all network connections, including client, public, and Microsoft Failover Cluster Virtual Adapter (which used to be known as Cluster network). In Windows Server 2003 and Windows 2000, NIC teaming can be used on the public and client networks at the implementer's own risk, but if problems occur you'll need to disable it for support, because NIC teaming isn't supported in those OSs for a cluster network.
