SQL Server Pro
InstantDoc ID #22438

A common type of retail-sales analysis is the analysis of promotions. Sales analysts want to determine how a promotion affects overall sales. Let's use the FoodMart 2000 Warehouse and Sales cube to display a promotion on each row. On the columns, display the number of months that the promotion had Unit Sales and the average monthly Unit Sales value. Finally, sort the promotions on the rows by the average monthly Unit Sales (ordered greatest to least). This query will give you an idea of the effectiveness of each promotion.
