During installation, SQL Server 2005 Setup generates log files for each SQL Server component and stores the log files in the %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG\Files folder. You can open the log files in Notepad, manually scan them, and search for "Return Value 3" to find any errors.
