Only WD Raptor offers 10K rpm, if you want to go economical, choose Hitachi/IBM GXP series drives.

i have a 300 gig maxtor sata 7200 rpm 16 meg cache for my storage but for a main drive to run your OS would u rather a 10,000 rpm drive with 8 megs of cache or a 7200 rpm with 16 megs of cache both sata which would be better to run a OS off
