One of the many features introduced with SQL Server 7.0 is the multiserver task capability. With it, you can set up a task, such as a backup or database maintenance, on one server and have that task copied to, and run on, multiple servers. Not only is this feature a big time-saver but it conveniently puts all reports in one place. Let's look at multiserver tasks, how to set them up, and when they can help a DBA.
