Adding a Net-Library to SQL Server 7.0

SQL Server Pro
InstantDoc ID #22565

A set of SQL Server 7.0 servers we inherited came with the Named Pipes Net-Library installed during Setup. Now we have to add the TCP/IP Net-Library to these SQL Server instances, and I'm concerned that to add a Net-Library, we have to run Setup again. What's the proper way to add a Net-Library to SQL Server?

All Net-Libraries are always installed; you simply choose which Net-Library to enable during Setup. To enable a different Net-Library, use the Server Network Utility.
