Just a note, I don“t see the point in evaluating the performance in the Development phase. I mean, it is only with the real data that you will get the real statistics and real performance. You may very well decide to create a index that will be useless in Production environment. Instead of measure the performance in development box, I prefer to use the time to normalize the database, create the constraints and design good queries. I usually leave the performance problem to the QA environment and production. Besides, looks like the funcionality of the Software is already provided by SQL Server itself throught Profiler and DMVs.
