Download the free tool at http://www.emailaslink.com . It will create file links for outlook by "right clicking" directly on the files that you want. The tool makes it easy to send links for several files at once and even to send links from search results or any other file list in Windows. Hi, this got me on the right track. Bu the information is not completely accurate. With Outlook 2003 SP2 installed the registry key value does not get reset from 1 to zero, effectively the Safe Senders text file is appended every time. I have checked and the JunkMailImportLists key exists only under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Options\Mail. Without that key no txt file gets imported, with it present it looks in our GPO for the location of the text file and appends everytime I open Outlook.]]>

The Outlook MessageClass Propertyhttp://www.sqlmag.com/article/exchange-server/the-outlook-messageclass-property#commentsAnchorWed, 11 Jun 2008 08:16:20 GMT
Hi, I created a COM that intercepts a mail message comming from a non-Exchange Server with an .WAV attachment and converts it to winmail.dat attachment. To do this, I’m converting this mail to MAPI format, and then setting the properties and convert to TNEF format. After this, I’m converting back to MIME format and the e-mail can be sent to the Exchange Server. But I need to modify the PR_MESSAGE_CLASS to be recognized as VOICE MESSAGE. I tried to set this propertie in the COM, but I think something is missing, since I cannot see this propertie in the received e-mail with the value that I set in the COM. What could be missing there ? Should I build a new form to do this ?]]>

(For more information about subscribing, click the green Exchange & Outlook Pro VIP logo.) If you’re looking toward a future migration to Exchange 2007, you’ll probably be reassured to know that you have some time to move your public folder data off Exchange. In his article "Strategies for Migrating Public Folders to SharePoint," posted today on Exchange & Outlook Pro VIP (exchangeprovip.com), Paul Robichaux notes that "Exchange 2007 supports public folders, so we can continue to use them until the end of the Exchange 2007 product life cycle—2016 at the earliest. However, the writing is on the wall, as Microsoft pointedly didn’t promise support for public folders in future versions."]]>

Hi Friends, If you are facing problem of "No free/busy information to be retrieved".. do the following steps:- Just go to your outlook folder e.g. at my Computer it is "C:\Documents and Settings\vishal.j\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook" and delete the .NX2 file.... It will solve your problem of "No free/busy information to be retrieved". Problem is because of using LDAP previously and now shifting to MAPI configuration. The addresses which are in the cache of your outlook are not recognised in your MAPI addresses. Removing >NX2 file removes your old cache addresses. Problem Solved...... :) Regards, - Vishal A.Jain vishaljain000@rediffmail.com Noida(India)]]>

This article shows nothing more than is already available all over the internet. The critical issue is how does the data get from exhcange or active dreictory to the .nk2 file. If you don’t answer that, then the bad informatioin continually recreates itself.]]>

Outlook: Accessing the Temporary Internet Files Folder for Attachmentshttp://www.sqlmag.com/article/internet/outlook-accessing-the-temporary-internet-files-folder-for-attachments#commentsAnchorTue, 24 Apr 2007 13:52:56 GMT
I actually have a question about this. I was able to locate the file but was unable to see the documents on ONE desktop. We operate in a GI-D desktop world and unfortunately I am not on the Admin end. All other desktops stored outlook temp files in an OLK# file but this one points directly to the Temporary Internet Folder. When I open the folder we cannot locate .doc, .xls, .csv or other ’useful’ files. In performing the save as, we can see many like files. For instance when performing a save as on an .xls spreadsheet, we see 50+ .xls documents in the folder but NOTHING else. Same with .csv and .doc - only see like files and nothing more. I have already made the switch to ’show hidden folders/files’ and this made no difference. Any clues?????]]>

Showing the Sender's Email Addresshttp://www.sqlmag.com/article/collaboration-data-objects-cdo/showing-the-sender-s-email-address#commentsAnchorWed, 04 Apr 2007 09:41:45 GMT
Is there an equivalent of this code but to ensure that the recipient’s address is printed, for example if I print out an email I have sent (rather than one I have received) I want it to show not only the name of the recipient but also their email address.]]>

If my Personal Folder has reached its maximum size, how can I manually split it, so users can add more email to a specific pst folder?]]>
