Does Exchange 2000 have a default size limt set for a public store, like the 16 gig limit for non-enterprise editions of an exchange 2000 information store. If so what is the max size or is it unlimited. [For The Public Store]]]>

Reduce Exchange Server's Bandwidthhttp://www.sqlmag.com/article/performance/reduce-exchange-server-s-bandwidth#commentsAnchorWed, 16 Oct 2002 09:22:35 GMT
Regarding the previous comment...we recently moved from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2K. We have one mailbox for controlling large text messages (~8MB) for a production environment. With Exchange 5.5 and Outlook 2000, those text messages were about 2MB. With the migration, they have grown to their uncompressed size of 8MB. Does anyone know why that change occurred and whether or not there is anything we can do about it?]]>

Exchange and Outlook compress Email????? What version is this referring to? Outlook 98 and 2000 dont compress messages at all (actually they are larger when sent onto the network by 50%) according to every sniffer trace we have done. ????]]>
